Ingredients: Water, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (a readily biodegradable natural surfactant made from combining sulfates and lauryl alcohol from coconut oil), Coco-Betaine (coconut fatty acids combined with betaine to create a mild foam), Lauryl Glucoside (glucose from corn combined with fatty alcohols from coconut and palm kernel oils), Fir and Spruce Oil (for a clean natural fragrance).
Packaged in 100% Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) cylinder bottles.

Our canvas buckets stand up on their own and have thick over-stitching connecting the handles.

These days sponge buyers have three main options to choose from.
Most of the cheap sponges out there are made from a soft plastic material, very ungreen, and not available here.
Natural sponges are tough, unique looking and work well. Unfortunately there are some very big questions about the sustainability of the world's sponge fisheries. Until this issue is resolved we choose not to add to the pressure.
Cellulose is a natural material derived from wood. While the production of any forest product clearly has an environmental impact, we feel cellulose sponges are the most environmentally friendly choice available.
To reduce our packaging impact we order our sponges direct from the factory without any plastic wrappers. This sometimes results in a sponge being sent to you that has dried out, feels hard and looks funny. Just add a little water and they snap right back to what you would expect.
