Oil Gone Easy Marine S-200 is a unique new product that helps you keep your local waters clean, avoid costly fines, and keeps your bilge from accumulating nasty petrochemicals.

Cleaning your bilge is usually one of the dirtiest jobs onboard any vessel, especially when engine oil, fuel, or lubricants gets in the mix.

While it might be tempting to just pump your bilge water over the side, think again.

In addition to causing catastrophic damage to the marine ecosystem, dumping contaminated bilge waste is illegal under the Federal Water Pollution Control Act.

Fines for violating this Act routinely run in the thousands of dollars.

Oil Gone Easy Marine S-200 works by encouraging bioremediation - a process where naturally occurring microbes consume petroleum products and break them down into harmless compounds.

With one simple application, the affected area is charged with a nutrient solution that stimulates the rapid multiplication of natural, oil eating microorganisms.

Unlike other bioremediation products that work by introducing microbes, Oil Gone Easy simply rings the dinner bell for these little creatures that are all around us.

In the bilge, the product will not disperse in the water column. Instead, it will attach to the hydrocarbons and create an agglomerated gel which will remain on the surface where there is an aerobic environment. Thus, only clean water at the bottom of the water column will be pumped overboard

Also works great around fuel docks or any area where immediate spill treatment is required.

Product Features:

Cleans spilled fuels, oils, and lubricants.

Can be applied to hard surfaces or directly to contaminated water.

One application keeps on cleaning for up to two months.

Technical Information:

The oleophilic (meaning having a strong affinity for oil rather than water) outer shell will adhere to the hydrocarbon and remain there despite rain, wind or tides. It creates a micro-emulsion facilitating the access of indigenous bacteria to the contaminant. The outer shell acts as a starter for hydrocarbon degraders. So the microorganisms start increasing in number. Despite regular fertilizers, Oil Gone does not serve as food for non hydrocarbon degraders, therefore, there is only growth of the microorganisms necessary to decontaminate the site. Once the outer shell is broken by the indigenous bacteria, the result is a large amount of hydrocarbon eaters, a microemulsified hydrocarbon and the exact quantity of Nitrogen and Phosphorus needed to biodegrade the contaminant. Despite the presence of Nitrogen and Phosphorous, Marine S-200 has never been known to cause algae blooms.

If you apply it on water the product will disperse in the water column. It will attach to the hydrocarbon and create a micro-emulsion which is less dense than water, therefore it will go to the surface where more oxygen is available and the conditions for biodegradation are better.

Oil Gone Easy is a bioremediation accelerator used for the remediation of hydrocarbon spills, or leaks. It is a non-intrusive, cost-effective remedy for the clean up of hydrocarbons. These hydrocarbons include but are not limited to gasoline, #2 up to #6 diesel fuel, jet fuels, kerosene, lubricating oils, hydraulic oils and crude oils.

S-200 is a white water liquid and as such can be sprayed with traditional liquid spraying equipment, such as: pressurized sprayers or backpack sprayers. The recommended application rate is approximately 1 to 1 by weight of the Oil Gone Easy S-200 as compared to the hydrocarbon being remediated. In other words, use 1 pound of Oil Gone Easy S-200 for every 1 pound of hydrocarbon you are remediating.

For applications on water, first, stop the spill and clean up as much free product as possible with skimmers, mechanical equipment, etc. Once that is resolved, apply Oil Gone Easy Marine S-200 to the surface of the hydrocarbon/water mixture.

Clean Water Solutions Microbial Powder - 28 oz
Reg. Price: $42.99
Use Clean Water Solutions oil eating Microbial Powder to eliminate oil contaminants on concrete, stone, and other porous surfaces.

Product Features:

The naturally cultured Archaea microbes consume and convert dangerous hydrocarbons into non-toxic carbon dioxide, water, and beneficial fatty acids through a process called Bio-remediation.

Rest assured these are NOT genetically engineered organisms.

Bioremediation is Nature's way of recycling.

Using oil eating microbial powder is an environmentally sound way to eliminate pollutants found on or near the water.

These microbes digest hydrocarbons — such as MTBE, oil, gasoline, diesel, nitrates, kerosene, marine deposits, and also animal feces, fish blood, and even odors — until they are gone.

Easy to use, simply apply Microbial Powder with water onto oil contaminated areas.

For heavy oil build up, using one of our scrub brushes will help get the area cleaner faster.

The microbes are housed in an inert clay mixture that will leave an easy to clean residue behind.

Just sweep up the residue with a broom or damp towel.

For best results, use Microbial Powder with non-toxic Clean Water Blue liquid soap to loosen and emulsify heavy stains.

Fuel Spill Guard System by Herrington Marine
Reg. Price: $159.99
Almost every boat on the water today with a permanent mounted fuel tank shares a dirty design flaw - a direct venting fuel system.

To handle the natural expansion that occurs in a fuel tank, a small hose is connected to an exterior fitting that allows vapors to escape to the outside air.

All too often, however, gas or diesel ends up going over the side too, polluting our precious waterways.

This unfortunate event usually takes place at the fuel dock, leading to the all too common sheen floating around just about every marina.

The Fuel Spill Guard System incorporates modern technology with common sense engineering and the highest quality materials to keep fuel spills from ever happening in the first place.

A small, marine grade aluminum reservoir tank is mounted on a bulkhead between your vessel's fuel tank and overboard vent.

To connect the unit, simply cut the vent line in half and attach each end to the Spill Guard unit.

Within the Spill Guard tank is a fuel level sensor that safely connects to a UL listed, sunlight visible, bright red LED warning light that alerts you if fuel enters the system.

A loud 12 volt alarm buzzer operates in conjunction with the LED display as well, alerting you when it is time to stop filling your tanks.

A drain at the bottom of the reservoir tank returns any excess fuel to the main fuel tank where it belongs.

Designed for gasoline or diesel fuel tanks of any size.

The only system on the market today that meets USCG regulations (183.520) and is also ABYC (American Boat & Yacht Council) H-24 and H-33 compliant.

Mounting hardware, electrical connectors, and fuel vent hose clamps included with each unit, along with detailed installation instructions.

All you need to provide is a little time, some simple tools, and the required lengths of wire to connect to your particular electrical system.

ABYC marine approved 14-16 gauge jacketed positive red wire and 14-16 gauge jacketed negative black wire recommended.

Hooking the entire system up should take the average do-it-yourself-er about an hour, or your local boatyard can probably do it in half the time.

Boats with multiple fuel tanks require a separate unit for each tank.

Designed to withstand the harsh marine environment by Allen Herrington, an Alaska born and raised fisherman who has worked on or near the water all his life.

The Fuel Spill Guard System is available for either 3/8" or 5/8" fuel vent lines.

Please choose the unit you need from the drop down menu above the product description.
