Durable, sturdy and gathered at the bottom for extra strength

Meets State Lift Laws - up to 45 lbs.

Many communities have banned the use of PE plastic bags for yard waste removal, because polyethylene-based plastic bags can not be composted with the yard waste or burned

These bags made from renewable crops are preferable to either bags made from trees or petroleum

BioBag Lawn & Leaf bags can be set at curbside for up to 12 days before the collected waste will begin to break the bag down. We dont recommend putting wet yard waste in the bags as that speeds up composition to 3-4 days.

Don’t: • Put hot liquids inside bag

Regular plastic bags take a lifetime, often over 100 years, to begin to degrade.

Less than 2% of plastic bags ever get recycled and those that are seldom ever become plastic bags again.

You're not going to get a lot of technical rhetoric here, just some observations based on a few facts and a little common sense.

We have developed an alternative to polyethylene/polypropylene based plastic bags. Our products are derived from substances obtained from plants such as cornstarch, vegetable oils and compostable polymers from both renewable raw materials and fossil raw materials. Our bags and films are certified compostable. Regular plastic bags take a lifetime, often over 100 years, to begin to degrade. Regular polyethylene/polypropylene based plastic cannot be composted. Less than 2% of plastic bags ever get recycled and those that are seldom ever become plastic bags again. Plastic bags litter our streets and waterways.

However, we are not at total odds with the plastic industry. We understand how this industry blossomed as an alternative solution to products made from metal and wood. Plastic was cheaper, lighter, easier to mold and rust resistant. Plastic was also durable and long-lasting. It was never meant to "go away." The plastic industry is very good at producing things that are meant to last.

Obviously, plastic bags never fit the intent of plastic usage. They are supposed to be "disposable". They don't need a life-span of more than a year, two at the most. It's sad that the plastic industry has spent more on their image than on the problem. Plastic bags remain inexpensive only because the manufacturer's responsibility ends at point of purchase. The rest of the tab is picked up by you and me in our tax base.

Some plastic manufacturers are now producing blends of polyethylene and additives that help the bags break down a little faster, but the process leaves pieces of plastic debris that are not biodegradable to ASTM D6400 certification and do not compost. In our view, the claim of biodegradability offered by these products is misleading to many consumers and a weak attempt to find compromise with nature.

We believe there is no compromise. We believe we have found the answer. With your support, we can achieve our mission of being the product of choice for organic waste disposal. We can change the world, without changing the earth.

For “fresh” food waste for your backyard compost and an odor-free kitchen, try using our BioBag 3 gallon waste bags with our ventilated Max Air food waste bucket.

Ventilated on all sides, including the top and bottom.

Attractive for countertop placement

Hinged for hanging inside the door of your kitchen sink

Food waste builds up bacterial odor quickly when collected in a solid pail because of the heat and moisture that can not escape when placed in these closed containers.

Many modern collection pails contain charcoal filters or other devices to help mask the odor, but do little to slow the “rotting process”.

BioBags breathe naturally, allowing heat and moisture to escape or evaporate.

This process allows food waste to dry, thus reducing the rate of bacterial build-up which causes odor.

When BioBags are used with the Max Air, the consumer has the ultimate system for food waste collection.

Perfect for collecting food scraps and other small waste.

Made from plants, vegetable oils, and Mater-Bi bioplastic.

Helps reduce pests, mold, and mildew when paired with Breathable BioBags.

Ventilated on all sides, including the top and bottom, minimizing odor and wetness that leads to rotting food waste.

MaxAir buckets are attractive for countertop placement and are also hinged if you wish to hang the bucket inside the door of your kitchen sink.
